Toolkit Launch "Myth to Action" - November 20, 14.00-15.00 CET

We’re delighted to invite you to the Launch Webinar of our new “Myth to Action” Toolkit, a practical resource on Trauma and Addiction for the workforce, families, and communities.

This toolkit is the outcome of our Myth to Action Campaign (May 2025), which gathered and clarified over 50 global misconceptions about trauma and addiction. Building on that success, we’ve expanded key insights into this toolkit,  complete with easy-to-use exercises, training resources, and knowledge tools to support your work and community.

The toolkit has already been piloted with great success, and during this webinar, we’ll share both the toolkit itself and the real-world experiences and results from those who tested it. Our panel included:

  • Rocio Suarez Ordonez – TSAFI, Argentina
  • Chantelle Pepper – West Cape, South Africa
  • Elroy Stuurman – Department of Social Development Office in Riversdale, Hessequa Municipality, Western Cape, South Africa
  • Sana Ullah Rathore, Mian Afzal Trust Hospital

👉 Don’t miss this opportunity!
Join us on November 20th to be among the first to explore the toolkit and gain exclusive access. Register here to attend!

Official Launch TSAFI - March 2025

During the WFAD CND side-event on March 13th and DFAF Luncheon on March 14th 2025, the Trauma and SUD Action Force Initiative was launched. Both events dived into the impact of trauma and how it re-wires the brain and body. Practical examples were given to engage the audience and receive their input and understanding of trauma. The events highlighted the necessity of including trauma-sensitised programmes in prevention, treatment, as well as recovery to ensure effective prevention and recovery of substance use disorders. The initiative was launched as a bridge between science and practical implementation, to share resources and raise awareness on the issue and support health care providers and others in integrating trauma-sensitivity in their programmes.
